... before Christmas?

I am in today, Mon-Thurs next week and half a day on Christmas Eve. 5.5 days...

And then I'm off from midday Christmas Eve until 2nd Jan.. 8.5 days holiday.

Next few weeks are manic.

Tomorrow is DS first nativity.
Sunday is taekwondo grading.
Monday DS Christmas party at school.
Various school stuff through the week including Christmas dinner, Christmas party and dress down with term finishing on Friday 21st. Food bank donation to be dropped off on 21st as well as food shopping to be collected from Asda.
Then off to IL's 22nd (my birthday) til late 23rd.
Half day 24th with food collection from farm shop before 1pm and Christmas play at 2pm on 24th.
Christmas day at home just us 3 and my parents coming here on boxing day..

I'll be glad of the rest come the 27th!

Tomorrow's my last day, then back on 4th January. Grin Another civil servant, though the 1% pay increase is a bit of a disadvantage. I'll be spending most of next week cleaning the house and sorting decorations, wrapping etc.

Working Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. (Just call me Santa).
My plans are to keep my fingers crossed for having next year off Grin

EEEEEEEEEEEK.

Just done a deal with my boss. Instead of working 17-20th then back in for half a day on Christmas Eve, I'm working 17-21st and then off til the 2nd Jan :)

Last day today, back on 6th Jan Xmas Smile

End of term assembly today, it took place outside in the playground with the sun shining and teachers in short sleeves, bare legs and santa hats. I still leave for work without so much as bringing a cardi or jacket, let alone a coat.

DH doesn't finish until 24th, so I have a week to write reports, lie in the sun and catch up on some novels, meet up with friends and do a little shopping. We're eating out Christmas Day and although there are decorations everywhere, Christmas Day is a normal working day here. Looking forward to seeing my parents, who arrive on 30th.

We haven't put the tree up, it's in storage and we cba to make the 1 hour round trip to go and get it.

Millie2013 · 13/12/2018 10:17

I have my Xmas meal today and I finish tonight!! until 8th Jan
This is because I had so much annual leave and in lieu time built up, but no opportunity to take it until now. I have so much to do, but I can’t wait for a proper break, it’s been a shit storm of a year. 🙈

Sitranced · 13/12/2018 10:24

There's today and tomorrow left of this week, then I'm in for the 5 days next week but its likely we'll be sent home around lunchtime on friday, Its not guaranteed but the boss usually sends an email to say we can leave if we want to then I'm done so I don't come back till the 2nd Jan.

Oblomov18 · 13/12/2018 10:25

Not sure when finishing yet. Could be Thursday 20th. Or might have to do a 1/2 day Monday 24th.
Which I'm not best pleased about, because I've got plans on Christmas ever: we all go to the church christingle, then Italian, then the pub for a quick one on the way home! Ds's aswell!!

At home for Christmas Day.
Visiting my mum Boxing Day.
Other than that no real plans till I return on the 2nd, but ds's aren't back till the 7th!

I've got plenty of holiday left though, so I might just use some of it.

mycatplotsdeath · 13/12/2018 10:27

Finish 4pm Xmas eve back 9 am 27th.
First time in years I have Boxing Day off Smile

HotInWinter · 13/12/2018 10:31

thefishwhocouldwish I'm guessing you are in the same region as me.
I get the kids back in an hour, and then they are back on the 6th Jan.

Pidgeot · 13/12/2018 10:43

Working all days apart from Christmas day, hoping to get some time off in February to have some down time.

atinymew · 13/12/2018 10:49

I finish on the 20th and not back until the 7th January. 17 wonderful days off. We're going to the inlaws on Christmas Day but no other plans. I. Cannot. Wait. Xmas Grin

Ollivander84 · 13/12/2018 10:55

I get the 27th off and NYD. Business as normal otherwise, working Christmas Day and Boxing Day

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 13/12/2018 15:52

I finish next thursday. I have a funeral to go to on the friday :( Then I'm going to the highlands for a few days by myself, back Christmas eve. Christmas day at my parents. Boxing day-NYE, going on holiday with DP but no idea where yet.

NYE party at a friend's, NYD - sleep, Jan 2 back to work.

Yay.

I have done no christmas shopping so far though so that's this weekend's job...
