If you had £25 to choose a present for yourself...

What would you ask for?

My close friends and I do a 'secret santa' present swap every year. We ask for a few things we like and then the buyer picks what to get them plus a little surprise. Value is £25 and I have no idea what to pick!

Popular items over the years have been bags, scarves, pjs, that sort of thing. What would you do with £25 all to yourself?

A few choice paperbacks and some posh chocolate.

Leeds2 · 11/12/2018 22:23

I would like a Yankee candle (the one with the teddy bear on the front, white coloured).
A lemon, or lime, tree for the conservatory.
A bird table, or bird bath.
New baking trays.
Wine.
Or gin.

A few pairs of running socks
Some books
A bottle of gin

Chocolate liqueur

BellMcEnd · 11/12/2018 22:27

I’d like a chillys water bottle (I don’t work for them!). My friend has one and it’s just lovely. I really can’t justify £25 on one though.

GlassHeart1 · 11/12/2018 22:27

Designer soap, eg Chanel or similar, they are about £20..

A label maker (a bit niche, I know... but it's the sort of thing I like and I already have a laminator 😁)

A new lipstick - I really rate the Mac matte ones, which are about £22.

A cookbook - currently eyeing up the Ottolenghi.

I would also second an Aeropress (but I already have one), Woodwick candles are quite good value for money if you aren't prepared to spend £45 on one candle and I always love PJs.

TheBaltictriangle · 12/12/2018 00:44

2 tins of Fortnum & Masons chocolate and macadamia nut biscuits.

colouringinpro · 12/12/2018 00:45

I've just bought myself a lovely brushed cotton nightshirt (hm) and a Dove set (Boots). Mac voucher also appeals 😁

champagneplanet · 12/12/2018 18:36

@WisestIsShe I hadn't seen those boots! Thinking maybe i'd like a pair but what colour to go for?

I'd usually have no problem spending money on myself but when put on the spot i'm struggling to make a decision!
