New project for crochet/knitting/crafty person

First world problem I know, but last Christmas I received circular needles, ball of 4 ply and a sock knitting book, which led to months of happy sock knitting and then onto other circular projects. DP wants to know what I'd like this year, and I've no idea but would love a new crafty project/focus along similar lines. What sort of new techniques/kits/ideas/accessories have crafty people got or asked for or have their eye on?

I knit, crochet, sew and do a bit of origami and drawing. I've knitted socks, cardigan, jumper, crocheted some amigurami and a blanket, sewn skirts and bags and little things. I have ME, can't work, can't do a lot of things, sleep a lot and craft is the thing that keeps me happy and sane and gives me a purpose in life, so getting something new to get my teeth into really means a lot to me. I'd love some new ideas please. Ideally that can be done on the sofa as sitting at the table sewing wears me out more quickly and I can't do it so often.

I got a lovely kit last year of Latvian mittens.

Buy Attic 24’s new sweet pea blanket kit. It’s a CAL starting in January and will probably run until end of Feb. I loved last years - it’s a great way to get through a generally dark time of the year x

A cross stitch kit? I fancy something like a 12 Days of Christmas sampler - if such a thing exists.

When the children aren't ill and snotty I love making octopals for octopus for a preemie uk. You can get so much beautiful cotton, everyone of them turns out unique.
I'm also working very slowly ob sophie's universe.

Spinning is very soothing and can be done sitting down. Best of all it feeds into the knitting and crochet because you can spin exactly the yarn you want for projects.
Try Wingham Woolwork for a drop spindle and some fleece.

What about needle felting? I think you can get starter kits, and it can lead to making the most beautiful and realistic looking animals.

Longstich? Doesn't need as much concentration as cross stitch

Oh I love a good knitted sock - I’m working my way through a mini skein sock yarn advent calendar at the moment so that might be an idea for next year! I second the attic24 January CAL, that’s always nice. As you can already knit in the round, how about learning some new knitting techniques like stranded colourwork, steeking or toe up socks? Ravelry is your friend here!

Some wonderful ideas, thank you! So many lovely things to look into!

I have a little needle felting kit that I was bought a couple of years ago sitting somewhere so I should get that out anyway to have a try at it.
