Two trivial questions that came up this afternoon...

Can I do a quick poll? Two unconnected questions that I was surprised by a friend's opinions on

  1. Is it discourteous to overtake a funeral on a dual carriageway?
  2. Could you access £1000 instantly, use it and it make no difference to your day to day life?

  1. As long as more than one lane, fine to overtake as long as you'll be able to overtake the entire convoy in one manoeuvre.
  1. Yes no problem. Would've been an issue a couple of years ago though and it's so nice now that it's not.

Op? Are you going to come back?

Didactylos · 11/12/2018 19:41

yes , yes

WomanOfTime · 11/12/2018 19:43
  1. No
  2. Yes, but it's something I'd only do out of necessity, not for luxuries - it wouldn't affect my day-to-day life but it'd put a dent in my savings

Sorry- I'm back!

I was out with a friend today and she was amazed that I didn't immediately overtake the funeral. And she was also amazed that I thought that nearly a grand for a house repair would be a big problem for most people- she though most people over 30 could lay hands on that much money very easily. Just wondering what the consensus was!

We paid over a grand last month for car repairs and although we could access the money without using credit cards it has had a knock on effect on Christmas Sad
