I’m stressing on who to tip/buy presents for at Xmas. Cleaner, gardener, hairdresser, window cleaner, teachers, dustbin man.... the list could go on and on.
I feel Mean if I don’t do something but it’s so expensive, how do you decide where to draw the line? Xmas Angry

The people who go the extra mile for you in providing a service or go beyond their job duties for you or your family. It’s not rocket science Confused

Personally if you can afford a cleaner, gardener & hairdresser I am a little surprised that you find it so expensive to give them a Christmas tip. Hmm. I don’t have a cleaner, gardener or hairdresser (go to a training college twice a year to get my hair cut); I don’t believe in giving teacher presents, I do give a Christmas gift to volunteer sports coaches that help my DS & I give the postman a small tip.

I'd give the cleaner something (probably a weeks wages) but not the others.

I buy my cleaner a present as she is part of our family and goes above and beyond in her quest to make us tidy.
Everyone else, no. I never tip hairdressers, and only bought a gift for the school once a year, not teachers until ds went to secondary

Well there’s some real charmers on here. Boo hoo, sorry I can afford to pay for a hairdresser. Shall I flagilalate myself and wear sack cloth and ashes?
Thanks for all the helpful responses 🙏🏻
