Non-evil formula companies

I am NOT saying formula is evil. But the companies making formula are pretty horrific in some of their practices.

Do any non-evil ones exist?

I don't want to breastfeed but the idea of giving these companies money is not appealing to me. Is there one that is any better than the rest?

I would be interested to know the answer to this question too. I mixed fed all of mine and used hipp organic.
To the posterwho suggested and the poster who agreed that formula should only be available on prescription, would that mean only mums who physically can’t breast feed would be allowed a prescription? Otherwise it would cost the NHS an awful lot?
I breastfed easily but I chose to mix feed because I wanted to be able to have the flexibility to go out for more than a couple of hours or have my husband or parents care for my baby over night without having to express lots of milk. For me formula gave me some freedom which I felt was beneficial for my mental health.

OP, I would recommend taking in pre - made formula. Many maternity units don't have sterilising facilities and can't offer use of kettles etc so bottles can't be made up safely. It's all health and safety!

Iolaus84 unfortunately Kendamil don't do premade.

Thank you for teh virtual hug holiday genuinely needed it after reading some of those PP.

@Mortified Your OP is very helpful as are most of the PPs, but others I have found quite aggressive.

Do you know what? Some of you need to get lost. I TRIED so bloody hard to breast feed my DD and it did not happen. She is fine, stop the bloody guilt trip.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 07/12/2018 22:36

I fed DC2 HIPP Organic babymilk - made me feel less guilty about stopping BFing earlier than with DC1 (crazy I know!) HmmGrin

Every mummy does her best for her baby. The lack of support in the UK is appalling. So many times the right support at the right time could have helped a mum achieve what she wanted. It's so sad we are so let down.
Mum is the boss, whatever she decides. More hugs for everyone X

(And if I'm ever a millionaire I'm going to set up a nationwide network of effective bf support across the UK)

Kendamil, they use whole British milk powder and it's made in Kendal, Cumbria.
