When did House of Fraser stop doing free returns?

I'd have thought they could have published that on their website better but regardless, that will be the last time I order from them.

I don't mind paying for delivery when you know the cost up front but returns depend on the weight and size.

I guess when the sports direct bloke took them over. At least they still do refunds.

Bombardier25966 · 07/12/2018 12:27

Yep, when Mike Ashley took over. Assume Sports Direct standards now and you're on the right track.

You have a statutory right to a refund. Even Ashley can't get away with refusing that!

I don't think sports direct do proper refunds unless an item is faulty, they give you a sports direct gift card to the value don't they?

I thought he'd said he was taking House of Fraser upmarket?!

I'd expect no free returns to make a huge difference to their level of trade but he obviously thinks otherwise. Do other people avoid ordering from places where customer pays for the cost of returns?

Sorry you've found that out the hard way i shall deffo be avoiding them! I always end up buying several sizes of things and i expect free returns and usually free postage!

peachypetite · 07/12/2018 17:11

Avoid like the plague!!

PrincessDando · 07/12/2018 18:45

Its £4.99 delivery now too and it used to be free over £50.

So that's a 'no' from me.

They do when you return an online order by post. They have a statutory obligation to.

People need to understand their consumer rights!
