Take her to the GP.

Usually a pharmacy can do a diabetic test.

Oblomov18 · 05/12/2018 07:51

Take her to the GP.

Classically, If it was T1, her blood sugar would be so high, because of lack of insulin, that she would be very unwell, fatigued, no real interest in food, and lose a lot of weight very quickly.

My friend found out she had T1 diabetes as a teenager when she put on a lot of weight. So I don't know that it's always about losing weight.

Anyone of any shape or size can have diabetes.

Take her to the doctor.

jessstan2 · 05/12/2018 07:59

You can have a test done at a Pharmacy, Boots and Lloyds do them.

seagull101 · 05/12/2018 08:21

She isn’t really eating much and is missing school as she is so exhausted

I’ve rang the GP and the next appointment they have is in 3 and a half weeks so I’m not sure if a hospital trip might be necessary

LLoyds chemist do a diabetes check test.

Notsoaccidentproneanymore · 05/12/2018 10:04

Could you make a nurses appt for full blood tests without seeing the gp?

StrawberryLemonade · 05/12/2018 10:13

If you’re worried about her ask for an emergency GP appointment. No one on here can diagnose her!

SoupDragon · 05/12/2018 10:14

Anyone ?

Several people have given you advice. Confused

Pharmacy that does a diabetes test
GP

Ellalovescake · 05/12/2018 11:43

3 and a half weeks!! What part of the country are you in? That’s terrible! Says it’s an emergency or ask if she can see the nurse (the nurse may suspect something and refer it to the dr urgently). I hope you get it sorted and that she’s ok!
