My DP is working on Christmas Day, so for the first time ever I am doing Christmas dinner instead of Christmas lunch. Im quite happy about this as it gives me all day to prep a good dinner - but what about lunch?

It will only be me and Mum, as DD is going to her dad for the whole of Christmas. I really dont want to do anything too heavy but we will need to eat something!!

What can i serve up to keep us alive and in the Christmas spirit, but not fill us?

I`m with the smoked salmon and cream cheese blinis, with a glass of something.

We always have an evening meal and my mum always did homemade soup for lunch

I’d do a late brunch - big bowl of scrambled eggs, smoked salmon bagels with cream cheese, Bucks Fizz, assorted pastries and fruit salad/berries.

I would have a scrambled egg and smoked salmon brunch, with fizz, of course!
