They've been in the fridge if that helps.

Should I just bin them?

Crack one and smell it you'll soon know ! I often use eggs a month out of date

festivedramallama · 01/12/2018 15:00

They’ll be absolutely fine

ChodeofChodeHall · 01/12/2018 15:00

They'll probably be fine, just a bit dry. just crack them into a cup first to check before you use them!

Stick them in a jug of water one at a time. If they stay at the bottom, they are still OK but if they've gone bad they will float.

chicken75 · 01/12/2018 15:01

Do the egg float test Op. Bowl of water, if egg sinks and stays down it's good if it floats it's off.

gamerchick · 01/12/2018 15:01

Just check them.

Fill a jug up with water and put egg in. If it lies down on the bottom it's fine, if it lies on an angle it's fine, if it sits on its bottom pointing up then it's off.

gamerchick · 01/12/2018 15:02

Yeah and they float Grin

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 01/12/2018 15:04

No, they will be stale and disgusting even if they are not off, especially if they have been in the fridge which dries them out.
I can always tell if a cake has been made with stale eggs and it makes me feel ill.

redsummershoes · 01/12/2018 15:05

crack them separately into a mug before using. if they are off the smell will give it away.
most likely they are fine

userabcname · 01/12/2018 15:05

DH had eggs a month out of date for breakfast last weekend- he thoroughly enjoyed them and he's still alive so I'm sure it's fine.

Bestseller · 01/12/2018 15:07

Theyll be fine but youll know if theyre not

As pp. said they might be a bit stale so I wouldn't poach them but otherwise they'll be fine.

SneakyGremlins · 01/12/2018 15:11

Still at the bottom off the water, arsed pointing up Grin

That means you should use them for things like scrambling or hard boiling, not omelette (if you want it fluffy) or soft boiled.

RangeRider · 01/12/2018 15:21

All my eggs are well out of date and have always been fine for everything including baking. I do the float test and if it passes it gets used.

driggle · 01/12/2018 15:21

I was once cracking eggs (still in date) and one of them was black! Now I'm super paranoid whenever I crack eggs. So I vote no Grin
