I’ve had spots constantly to varying degrees of awfulness since I was 12. Now my chin has turned into mass of red bumps and I have no bloody idea how to make it sort of normal again. I don’t know why it’s suddenly so bad. Help!

Try posting in the style and beauty section, you might get more answers there.

Acnecide. Transformed my chin. Use it everyday for a few weeks. It is miraculous.

I'm in the same boat- skin feels horrible at the minute, new and painful spots popping up almost daily Sad

I've had antibiotic lotion from the GP about 4 or 5 times in the past. It was very effective the first few times, but seemed to do very little for me last time, so perhaps skin becomes resistant to it if used too often?

Benzoyl Peroxide gel left my face really sore and red, so I'd use it sparingly at first if you decide to try it.

I'm trying Salicylic Acid now- Nip and Fab have a teenage skin range with it in- some one on here recommended it a few weeks ago, so that's what I'm using.

Things seem a little less angry, so fingers crossed!

How old are you? What are you using? Is it only around your mouth area? It looks like perioral dermatitis which is hard to get diagnosed and hard to clear up. You need to get some elidel (Pimecrolimus) ointment prescribed for it, and use something like Cetaphil or Cerave to wash the area twice a day. No makeup, etc until it's gone. I had it for years until it was diagnosed. It took aaaaages to go away, but once it's gone, it's gone!

You need to examine your diet. Do you eat too much sugar? Do you have a sensitivity to dairy, wheat, etc. What goes in must come out, and it may be causing your acne.
