Coping strategies for ADHD

I haven't been diagnosed nor have I talked to a professional about it but I'm coming to believe that I have ADHD.

Anyway, I'm currently listening to an audio book and it strikes me how many audio books I have completed and seriously enjoyed compared to written books. I think this is because I can keep physically active whilst I'm listening and it maintains my concentration for so much longer! I'm so pleased and am enjoying varied podcasts and books. Then it struck me why it might be working for me.

Any other good coping strategies for the short wired brain, even if it's not ADHD?

Exercise, particularly running. My dh has ADHD and the impact it’s had on his focus and mental health generally has been incredible.

I second audio books - if it's for knowledge plus the textbook.
A bullet journal instead of a digital / otherwise structured calendar.
Lot's of reminders on my phone.
A structured day + enough sleep, water and proper meals and excercise.
And use the strength of ADHS to your advantage
listen to the "How to ADHD"'-channel by Jessica - it helped us (me, DS and DD)

Any good episodes to get started with Prokup? I tried one once (think it was a different ADHD podcast and I couldn't get into it.

Interesting what you say about Bullet Journals, I love them and have dabbled but I'm so disorganised I lose track of it - the only thing I consistently have with me is my mobile phone so it's been really good to organise myself on there with the calendar online.

Think I need to do a bit more self care - interesting what you say about exercise @TragicRabbit , I do struggle with it mentally (and consequently physically!). I struggle to work towards targets and it's my own fault I don't prioritize daily exercise but I am going to overhaul in the new year.

@PoliticalBiscuit
We started with her TED talk and went on with the playlist that fit our problems (routines and habit building; self care etc.)
Actually, I double up on calendars - the digital when I am out and about and the bujo when I sit down and take stock. I think with my pen Smile
