Is it weird to vacuum my bathroom?

Just that really - friend just popped over whilst I was giving the bathroom a quick spruce and thought it was hilarious - is it?!

My parents, siblings, grandparents etc all do so aside from asking other friends (who I think will give me the face because after all, it doesn’t really matter), I just thought I’d ask!

Another one here who vaccums my tiled bathroom floor before mopping. I find lumps of wet dust that stick ti the floor otherwise.

I always vacuum before mopping. In the bathroom it gets rid of all the dust that gathers there where does all the dust come from? and in the kitchen it helps to hoover up all the crumbs and bits on the floor so that I'm then able to mop the floor clean

A professional cleaner on an ask me anything thread, said to mop, let dry and then hoover hard floors. I do need a broom to get into corners and pull stuff out in kitchen and bathroom, then I hoover before I mop.

I do vacuum the bathroom but have wondered if I'm then spreading wee and more around the rest of the house on the vacuum head...

I sweep then mop because the vinyl company said vacuuming would degrade the non slip coating and something needs to collect the dust!

I have thought about the fact I'm smearing food and fecal germs all everywhere and over each other but I mop with bleach solution afterwards and am trying not to give into the OCD cleaner in me... I also Hoover the sofa etc. Then antibacterial wipe it with wipes or cloth and spray.

Sometimes I Hoover the table and highchair but always antibac afterwards so basically

Hoovering the bath and the basin first make them much easier to clean.

My bathrooms are always full of spindly spiders, so no, not weird at all, I always hoover first, then wipe.

Your friend is wrong.

I never mop the bathroom floor...it's a faff. I get down on my hands and knees with a cloth and cleaning spray...it's only a tiny amount of space to have to clean.

Bathrooms always get incredibly dusty. So no, its not out of normal to hoover a bathroom. Personally I sweep the floor but each to their own
