I'm sure not everyone likes me and finds me annoying, but there is a certain member of my family, that when she speaks it just gives me the rage and annoys the hell out of me.

She is a single mum to one dd and has absoulty no life experience, never worked a day in her life yet sits at home all day moaning and complaining that life is unfair and that everyone treats her and her dd bad.
There's not a day that goes by that she hasn't gone into a full on rant about how amazing her child is compared to others or that she is just such an amazing special snowflake, when infact she is a nasty bully who at almost 7 years old is on the verge of being excluded from school because she is horrible to other children and simply cannot and will not listen to teachers at school.
She sees no wrong in what she does and blames her waste of space ex and everybody else's dcs for the way her dd behaves.
Yesterday she put up that " unlike most parents she knows her dc better than most people know their dcs" and it just set my teeth on edge amd made me so angry I had to block her. I know everyone loves their children and we are all sometimes biast and we all parent differently, but ffs get your head out of the clouds and stop blaming people for your own failings also stop telling others they are shit parents because they go to work.
Last week she called me raging that her dd was very upset, that my ds had told her were going to Turkey next year and he was being mean for telling her as she has never been abroad and perhaps I shouldn't go Shock

I don't even know what I'm on here asking, or infact talking about. I think I just needed a rant, but what makes people feel they are so bloody entitled? And how dare she say I shouldn't go on holiday because she won't get off her backside and work to take her dd?

Sounds like she is massively over-compensating for a crushing lack of self-esteem - who's she trying to convince? The world or herself.

Sideline: just come off another thread about different interpretations of the word snowflake; without which I'd have interpreted your comments differently (to much confusion).

For info - in my world snowflake is used by the right wing as an update on bleeding heart liberal - one of those folks who adopt every struggle as their own and spend all their time outraged on someone else's behalf (often more so than the afflicted).
I do get the other definition though - I can hear Tyler Durden now "You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake"

Her head isn't in the clouds, it's up her arse!
Why shouldn't you have a holiday when you've worked hard for it?

TheSerenDipitY · 29/11/2018 12:31

well she pisses you off that much you have nothing to lose by being blunt and honest...
blah blah you shouldn't go overseas cause i cant blah blah... reply, then get a job and save some money and then you can
think up some good replys and start using them, maybe she will block you and wont have to see her bullshit

Ha!!! Perhaps you shouldn't go?! How did you answer that?

So nobody else is ever allowed to do anything that her DD isn't doing?

RebootYourEngine · 29/11/2018 12:47

You aren't allowed to go on holiday because she can't afford to. What did you say to that?

Imareallifemonet · 29/11/2018 12:58

I told her that I work hard always have, always will and that it isn't mine or my son's problem that she cannot afford to go on holiday.

I honestly don't know what goes through her mind, it's quite shocking that there are people like that out there.

I've worked hard for everything I have, i may all my bills have my own car and she has issues with all of that, it's everyone else's fault she can't drive because nobody gave her lessons or bought her a provisional, she makes snyde remarks because I buy my ds name brand trainers, he has a love of trainers just like his dad.
I could go on, it just does my head in.

Empathy (and sympathy) in bundles here OP. I have a family member who has also never worked, is constantly in debt and has a mammoth entitled to attitude. My DH works hard for us, I have health issues so am not currently working. We live within our means, don't buy stuff we don't need and are still walking on the same carpet that's been on the floor for 28 years. We do however prioritise holidays. But everytime we go anywhere we are apparantly lucky bastards. This is fillowed up by "it's alright for some", "nice that someone in the family is rich" and "It's not fair".

We have just booked a cruise for next year. Took us 4 years of saving and cutting our cloth accordingly......but oh my are we going to get earache about our good luck!

I mean I wouldn't mind if we was jetting off to the Amazon to swim with piranhas, we're going to a cheap all inclusive in Turkey for a week.
I've always taken ds abroad as well as done camping/caravan holidays, infact he prefers them the guaranteed sun is most definitely for me.

Don’t see her and don’t answer the phone to her. Problem solved.

Imareallifemonet · 29/11/2018 18:23

I've haven't actually seen her since September, but our dc go to the same school so they will still see each other.
