Woke up feeling a bit sick.

Stomach making some terrible sounds, am at that point where I am fairly certain puking will come along shortly.

No point in posting this. Just distracting myself ....

Oh god, and so it begins

Another person who is terrfied of vomit. I got a racing heart just reading this thread. I don't know why I am compelled to click on them but weirdly I do.

2010Aussie · 29/11/2018 13:06

Just been through all this - early hours of Tuesday. I felt like I was setting The World Vomiting Record. Classic Novovirus symptoms

It does get better. I've been out this morning and survived.

Wish you well

HerculesTheBercules · 29/11/2018 13:42

I’ve not been sick for hours now and have kept down a glass of water - tentatively hopeful.

Another one getting the dread just from reading this thread (and almost feel that just because I have read the thread, I'm now going to catch it Hmm.. Though I think that might just be the stark reminder that it's noro-virus season...). I've had it the past two winters (since my DD came along.. never had it in my life before that!).. Surely I'm due a winter off?!

Glad you're feeling a bit better now, OP.

Silversun83 · 29/11/2018 13:56

Seriously though.. does anyone know why it seems to hit over night? It just seems to make it ever bleaker.. and you obviously feel worse from the disrupted sleep.

HerculesTheBercules · 29/11/2018 18:39

Maybe something to do with stomach acids?

Wish me luck, I am about to try food for the first time in 24 hours.

Another emet here. Twosoups describes it exactly. I am astonished and fascinated and seriously impressed that your DH vomited and didn't tell you. And that you are/were so laid back. It's like you just had a cold, a nuisance and unpleasant, but no real biggie. When I vomit, it's like a minor tragedy, I'm too scared to be alone and I'm haunted by every tiny detail of it for ages after. I envy you your attitude to it and hope you enjoyed your food!

RedWineIsFabulous · 29/11/2018 19:08

Severely emetephobic here and I am so sorry you have been unwell op.

This is my major fear and my heart is pounding just writing this.

Amazed I have had two children. It’s a terrifying and debilitating phobia

Hope you feel better

RedWineIsFabulous · 29/11/2018 19:09

Had mine since aged 7

Not nice at all

First counselling appointment has come through for next week.

RedWineIsFabulous · 29/11/2018 19:09

Apologies for hijacking your thread op

My DM made me a lovely chicken casserole which I have managed to retain. First solid was a bit of scrambled egg.

It tastes so much better having been in a situation when even the thought of food made me feel queasy.

Good luck OP - you'll get through it!

Bimwit · 29/11/2018 19:22

Another morbidly fascinated emetophobe here...i havent puked for 7yrs, even staying free of noro while having a small child. I live in dread of it every year, coping with it in myself and DD Sad heart also racing now!

Elephantina · 29/11/2018 19:30

Another phobic who can't resist clicking on a sickness thread, arrrgh.

Glad you're feeling better OP.
