Making a meat and potato pie for tea, really looking forward to it. The pastry was made and I just finishing seasoning the mince onions and potatoes when I managed to tip half a tub of salt into the mix, it was totally unsalvagable and we ended up having chicken and chips out of the freezer.

What disasters have you had in the kitchen?

My husband does all the cooking as I’m terrible but I wanted to make him something so I decided on tagliatelle with blackened salmon. When the pasta was cooked I chucked it in the collindar to get rid of the pan water as you do....however the steam burnt my hand so I dropped the collindar and pasta in the basin which was still filled with manky dish water. It didn’t even cross my mind to make new pasta so I rinsed it under the cold tap, not thinking a thing and served it up. My husband was too nice to say anything but I could tell by his face something was wrong and it was only when he said the pasta was stone cold that I realised what I’d done! The salmon got eaten but the tagliatelle went straight in the food waste Blush

@whyameyehere yeah... I think I used the wrong flour. Either way, toad in the hole became a weird sausage cake and I still get embarrassed thinking about it.
