Any input would be fab. My son sells macaroon, tablet etc to friends and neighbours for pocket money. The goods are supplied by a company, they're not homemade.
So a couple of weeks ago, 13 of the bars of macaroon were mouldy!! So i returned them to the area delivery man, and he said he'd speak to the man who runs the factory.
I texted today to ask what is happening with them, he replied to say that we were the only ones who have reported this, ie the implication being that it's our fault. Even thought we've always stored our stock in the same cupboard in the kitchen, without any issue.
I asked if they would be replaced or refunded. He replied to say he needs to speak to the manager again, as he didn't mention anything about replacing them. In other words, I'm expected to be out of pocket for this.
I'm currently feeling that I should reply to state that I paid for goods that I returned to them which isn't ok, ie if I returned food to asda, I wouldn't expect them to blame me and keep the goods too. Or he could return the mouldy ones and I'd happily go around the doors showing people stock that "isn't faulty". The bottom line is, it's around £10 out of my son's profits 😖
Any thoughts??

If your son sells them is it not up to him to complain.

SpanishFly · 26/11/2018 15:47

They give us goods to sell, we sell them and pay for them the following week, when we then get more stock

So should we complain to the factory? I'm unclear what you mean LIZS

Who do they think they are supplying - You or your son? If quality is poor stop selling them. There must be a limit to how many he can sell. A mlm is a sales model where each person recruits others to sell them and get a share of any profit.

They're giving the items to me for my son to sell. All I'm after is the money for the goods we returned. Believe me, we're stopping this job after these issues, but we shouldn't be out of pocket for returned goods.
