Pain in my ovaries when I walk

Yesterday I got a sudden sharp pain in my lower abdomen which made me cry out. Since then I’ve found walking very uncomfortable, with sharp pain in my ovaries. It’s also painful when I’m sitting/lying down and move a certain way.

I’ve had some ovarian problems for a while and a scan a few months ago revealed I have several cysts between 3cm and 5cm. Tests for PCOS came back negative. I’m having a second scan next week.

Has anybody experienced something similar? I sometimes wonder if I might have endometriosis. Or maybe it’s unrelated and I’ve just pulled a muscle?

I have a very sharp pain in my ovary area sometimes if I move quickly, normally if I get up suddenly from hunched over. It wears off fairly quickly. I have pretty bad endo and am prone to cysts. My ovaries, Fallopian tubes, uterus and bowels all have endo or scar tissue and I've always assumed it was a sort of tearing pain.
Scans will show cysts but I believe you need a laparoscopy to check for endo.

Pain on both sides/ovaries?

RitaMad · 26/11/2018 11:49

Yes, both sides Sad

Is there anything on the scan that might suggest endometriosis, even if it can’t confirm it? I really don’t want to have a laparoscopy unnecessarily.

How do you know it's your ovaries?

RitaMad · 26/11/2018 13:56

I don’t, but it’s in the same places I get the cyst pain. I did say it could be muscular.

Both sides is a bit weird, perhaps not gyno related.
I had a laparoscopy when I was 18 to try and find the cause of my pain, it was non-conclusive and it was over 10 years later I was actually diagnosed with endo.
I don't think there's anything on a scan that could suggest endo but I'm not 100%, sorry.
