What's everyone up to today?

We're just finishing breakfast then going to get sorted for going Christmas jumper shopping. Might pick up a couple of gifts in town as well...if I spy something my dad would like.

When we get home, I have a bit of paperwork to sort, will cook meatballs and spaghetti for tea and we'll probably watch X-Factor

What's everyone else doing?

I will be stacking 2 cords of split firewood I have sitting in the middle of my driveway.

Awww you're such a lovely lot. @Bluesheep8 I accept your kind handhold and may well pm down the line- thank you. To be honest, I just want to know what's wrong because I'm not myself at all and feel fairly rotten and just very odd. Think I've pushed it a bit today- a fair bit of standing and walking so early night for me.

It was just crazy...I’ve never seen anything like it...people like ants crawling all over. No let up .

York is quite a traffic calmed city centre...just as well for the hordes that were down here today.
I counted ten coach loads near museum gardens alone.

You couldn’t get anywhere to shop. so,

I’m not going back till after the Christmas holidays ..well after....after the sales as well.

I've been decorating my sons room today, I'm still at it, nearly finished the second coat and just the woodwork to do. I'm hoping to be done in time to do the ironing whilst watching I'm a celebrity. He's back tomorrow afternoon so want it all done tonight so I can have a day with my mum and brother tomorrow before he returns.

Took dogs out for a walk along our usual country lane route, picked up newspapers on the way back home, had coffee and banana while reading the papers, picked a brussels sprouts stalk out of the veg plot in the garden for Sunday dinner tomorrow. Had Lidl orzo pasta with sundried tomato for lunch, fed the dogs, did some ironing, took dogs out again for their afternoon walk. Met up with friends at outdoor christmas fair in nearby market town, adjourned to pub for a meal (vegan nut roast with peas and mash) and two pints of lager. Got back home for mumsnet and tv with feet up on settee in front of a glowing coal fire.
