CALLING ALL BOTOX EXPERTS! Advice needed!

Back story is that I began having Botox last year. I've now had it done twice by 2 different Doctors at a clinic which was recommended.

I was 29 at my first appointment which I know is young but I had very severe crows feet and not the ones that all come out nicely from the corner of the eyes, mine went down below my eye and they were making me very self conscious. I couldn't get the doctor recommended to me so went for another doctor at the same clinic. She was lovely but I wasn't happy with the results. I have attached an image to help explain what happened so that hopefully you'll understand. The Botox was injected partially sort of under the eye which relaxes the muscle below the eye. I was left with sort of a line (as I've drawn in black) because my muscle wasn't lifting when I'd smile but the rest of my cheek did. Everything below the line would lift but above it would stay completely flat.

For my second appointment, I managed to get the doctor I initially wanted. I said I felt like I'd been given too much Botox the last time. She said that I wasn't given too much, as such, but it was a lot for my age and she wanted to try much much less. (So much less that she said she'd even talk to the owner to find out if I could be given a cheaper price for the treatment.

Anyway, 2 weeks on and it's been enough to work. The line is still there but definitely no where near as severe as the first time.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this experience with Botox to the crows feet area and if you found a way round it.

I really didn't want to change my face and it has. I just wanted those wrinkles gone and in fairness they are! I prefer my face right now to before Botox so that's a positive. I'm obviously still quite new to all of this so I'd really appreciate advice from those with more experience. Many thanks.

How long ago was your first botox - had it totally worn off by your second appointment?

The chap I see has a very light touch and will top up if necessary at your check up appointment 2 weeks later.

But the first lot of botox should go and the line should then disappear. The first time I had it - I think it had all gone within 3 months. Now it lasts longer but I have been having it for quite a while. I have frown lines and crows feet done and have never had a line like you described.

I've tried to take some pictures which will hopefully show you what I mean without outing me.

I made a mistake in my OP. First Botox treatment was in May (not last year). It was still working well when I went back for a top up (I could see the wrinkles were beginning to return). The doctor said this time it will wear off more quickly because she has given me such a small amount.

Can you see what I mean about the lines? I don't think the pictures are really doing it justice and it's more evident when you can see my whole face rather than just that area.

If you open the 3rd picture, you can see it most on the far left. You can see an indent in my cheek when I smile. That runs right along where the line is but it's obviously harder to see in a 2D image than in real life.
