How can I make the most of my time after DD is asleep?

I'm a LP and get little time to myself (6yo DD). We get up around 7am then I run around all day doing the usual school run, working until 2.30pm then pick her up, tidy, clean, make dinner, mess around on the internet or go to the usual school clubs etc.

By the time DD goes to bed I am shattered. Admittedly she usually goes to sleep around 8.30pm which is a bit late but otherwise she wakes up ridiculously early. I would love to make the most of the time after she's in bed but can't motivate myself to as usually shattered.

I tend to go to bed at around 10.30pm, having faffed on the internet, watched a bit of TV or sorted some household things out. However I feel this is a massive waste of my time. I want to be a bit more productive or is this a pie in the sky idea given we all need a bit of rest? That said I'm usually too tired to do anything much.

What do you do in the evenings that's productive? I'd love to use my time more productively e.g. spend an hour or two being creative or doing some yoga or something. I just can't find the willpower very often.

Tips welcome! thank you

I exercise at night after the kids are asleep. I either do a Pilates or yoga set on the floor of the front room while I have the TV on. Feels like TV time is useful and I go to bed feeling good. I admit that I know my yoga and Pilates routines very well so this mightn't work if you were inexperienced. You could follow an online class, though, or an exercise dvd.
