Is Primark genuinely good value for pyjamas ?

Don't want a wasted trip.
Fleece bottoms and flannelette bottoms is what I am after. Does Primark material shrivel up two sizes in a normal 40 degree wash, go wonky and/or does the stitching come apart?
Haven't been for ages and as the saying goes, buy cheap, buy twice.

Any thoughts? Flowers

Both my dds still wearing Christmas Eve pyjamas from last year, in fact I’d say they are among the best condition of their pjs though possibly the oldest - they are 2 and 5 and growing fast.

I tend to buy a lot of their things from there these days, it’s fantastic value. The £1.30 T-shirts and £1.80 long sleeve tops really have a fantastic choice, wash at least as well as supermarket equivalent (but 3xcost) and feel really nice and soft. And their kids jeans are simply fantastic quality and half the price of supermarket equivalent. I’m basically a total convert and can’t see the point in paying twice the price at least to shop elsewhere.

Peacocks have 20% off online until Sunday, I like peacocks pyjamas compared to Primark.

DwangelaForever · 21/11/2018 16:11

I have pyjamas from primark that I bought for my hospital bag with DD - she is now 2! I have more pyjamas than normal clothes and the majority of them are from primark lol

Not sure about the fleecy pyjamas, but I have had nighties from primark for years now. One has gone slightly wonky, but they are really good value for money.

Me too @newtothisriver !!

BlaaBlaaBlaa · 21/11/2018 16:35

Sainsbury's do the best pyjamas imo

Ploppymoodypants · 21/11/2018 16:37

Fleece ones age fab and last ages and wash and dry so well.
The flannel ones are good, wash well but do fade and I think go stiff if you don’t use a tumble dryer
Their preppy style lounge wear type stuff last well too. Think jogging bottoms and hoody for round the house (like holister stuff) but 90% cheaper. I lived in the gryffidor quidditch kit last winter and it is still okay for this year. 😁

I bought some fleece ones they were selling off for £3 a few weeks ago. The top is hideous print (polar bear photo) but the bottoms are lovely grey and so comfy. Have washed well too.

Just be careful of the sizes as they’ve gone super generous and you might need to size down.

I'm going for it. It would've been nice to havr gone today but toddler not well and its proving a really bad day already so I'll have to treat myself another day, I suppose.

I think supermarket clothing is slipping tbh. Iy doesnt seem as good as it used to be.

My favourite pjs are all from Primark. I have some that are nearly 10 years old!

Elderflower14 · 22/11/2018 11:19

Primark is the only place I buy my pj's from! ☺

Branleuse · 22/11/2018 11:24

They last just as well as pyjamas from anywhere else
