Does this look infected or healing???

I know asking strangers on the internet is not ideal but no chemist is open yet and he goes on a trip at 8am before anywhere is open.

I agree with the other couple of posters. Wounds should not be left to ‘air’ or ‘dry out’. They need a moist environment to aid healing.

Really? I thought getting them wet/moist was a bad idea.

My ds had a knee like that. I put some salt in his bath...slathered it with antiseptic cream then left it uncovered to air dry.

Cover with hydrocolloid plaster. It doesn't look infected, it just looks soggy. Moist healng is supposed to be more effective and less chance of scarring
