Vicks or sudafed nasal spray....amazing!

Try to blow gently - blowing hard makes it worse. DON'T PICK! suck a (sugar free) sweet.

Following with interest as I am currently having a reaction to my cat...

Second the Sudafed Nasal Spray. Works like a dream for me.

Contac - miraculous stuff

A couple of GPs have told me to use a combination of antihistamines (loratadine), ibuprofen and beconase spray taken regularly for ~5 days to dry up mucous. Been really helpful when you get one of those colds that don't fully clear up for months.

Antihistamine.

I find day/night nurse good as they have paracetamol and antihistamine in them.

I've not found anything that works. I was googling nostril tampons in desperation, and now I keep getting shown a story about a man whose nose kept dripping and it turned out to be his brain fluid leaking out.

Actifed. It's amazing stuff, clears up congestion and stops your nose running. You can buy it over the counter in the chemist. It's a mix of decongestant and antihistamine.
