Drier water?

Sorry if this isn't the right place for it, but I had a quick look and couldn't see a 'money saving' board anywhere (happy to be directed to it if I've overlooked it!!)

We have a condenser drier and I'm always so surprised at the amount of water it collects, we don't have any plants we could water with it and I'm struggling to think of another use for it...it seems such a waste to just tip it down the sink - any suggestions as to how I could put it to use?

I think you could use it in your steam iron.

I use mine in my steam iron, it's essentially distilled water, so no minerals in it and won't scale up your iron. We live in a hard water area so is v useful as the limescale here is awful! I decant it into an old milk container and top up as and when.

Ooh thank you, I also live in a hard water area so will definitely start popping some in my iron

Water butt? Mine usually has some fibres in it so not sure I would use it in an iron.

I read that it's best to filter it through a coffee filter paper first, in case there are any tiny 'bits' contaminating it. I just bought a cheap plastic jug and sieve, then put the paper in the sieve and let the water collect in the jug.

It's fine for iron.
