Do I still need to pay for nursery?

DS caught hand food and mouth from nursery a lot of other kids have done too. Am I still obliged to pay for the whole week and I'm guessing half a week as he is still covered? Or is this something I can fight.

You still need to pay

Yes you absolutely do. Sick children isn’t an avoidable situation it’s pretty much part of the whole human experience! You might have a point if it was food poisoning but not a common childhood illness....

Yes. It’s in your contract.

Yes of course

Yes of course you are. Just like if you went on holiday you would still pay!

All childcare I have used still charges if kids are ill regardless of cause so it's normal sorry. I've also had to pay for hospital appointment days where child doesn't attend. It's rubbish, especially if you are not getting paid for the day as can't go to work but unfortunately it's just the way it is...

Do they exclude for HFM? Most don’t seem to these days. Also, you still need to pay- just like all the colds and d&v

Nicknacky · 18/11/2018 17:10

Of course you need to pay otherwise every parent would say their kid got ill at nursery if they didn’t have to pay then!
