Is Marsala similar to port?

Making a tiramisu and haven’t got enough Marsala so have topped it up with port. Smells similar, is it going to taste all wrong?!
To me, it tastes good in the mixture, will there be some very embarrassed faces sat round table at dinner tomorrow

Yes I meant he decanted it (in my head that was like sieving to get rid of the crap!).
I think he must have googled, he cracked it open while I was out one evening and probably read somewhere that it then needed drinking quickly.
Neither of us is really into or bothered about drinking port as you can clearly see so we have just left it in the cupboard for the last year and a half! Tasted fine to me (in tiramisu), I’m sure it will stay there until we cook something else with port.
