He's on day 14, I can't wait each day for his updates, is anyone else following him?

Such a difference to Shackelton's time, daily updates makes it all feel so real!

Is nobody else following him? He's had a rough day today, 14 days non stop walking 10 hours a day!

I hadn’t see anything about it so thank you for sharing.

BentNeckLady I know, there has been very little publicity and I wonder if it's because of what happened to Henry Worsley in 2016. I heard an interview on R4 just before he set off in October giving details of the trip and it just seemed to happen with no big fanfare.

Thank you for sharing I didn’t know anything about it. Will have a look and follow.
I agree about the difference technology makes to being part of expeditions even as an armchair follower.
I’ve read and seen on TV shackleton’s expedition. One of the things I often think about is them wearing the same clothes for over a year!

He mentioned a few days ago he chose to only bring one set of thermals and underwear with him as he was cutting as much weight as possible! Today's temperature was -30 degrees with a headwind but he still managed 12 nautical miles.

Such incredible endurance with physical and mental toughness. I find it fascinating.

I'm bumping this thread as it's so awesome to follow. Temperatures are rising to -10 making it much hard to ski through soft snow, whiteouts and sunken pulk add to his frustrations.

Bumping this thread, in case anyone is interested, Day 36 and Lou is only 60 nautical miles from the Pole :)
