Am I right in thinking that I can unscrew something to take the cupboard doors off without taking the plate off the door / cupboard? Something to do with the screws in the middle?!

I'm painting my kitchen cupboards, did the primer with the doors on, but I need to take the doors off to do the top coat neatly. Kitchen is ancient and I don't think the mdf would cope with taking the screws in and out! (Rented so just sprucing it up!).

Brew and possibly Cake if you can help

The middle screw I think you are talking about is the screw you mess with to get the door straight. As in if you turn it it makes the door crooked or straight iyswim. It doesn't take the hinge off.

You will need to unscrew the ones in the right hand side and pull (it may be tight if it's been in a while). They are quite easy to do. I have managed myself before and I'm crap at this type of stuff!

On the part of the hinge shown on the left hand side of the photo there will be 2 screws- the one in the middle is the adjustment screw- don’t ouch that one- loosen the other screw ( don’t take it all the way out) and the door will just slide off. Obviously you have to do it to both the upper and lower hinge.

Yep, just need to loosen the screw and then remove the door.

Go on IKEA website and look at instructions for hinges. It's much easier than all the explanations given here but difficult to describe.
