How disgusting is this?

I overslept this morning and was very rushed. I need to be in the building for work for 815 but the first hour is relatively chilled. I have a toothbrush and toothpaste in my bag so I decided to brush my teeth at work (I’ve never done this before bu was so rushed.)

The toothpaste is there but not the brush and I have an important meeting at 3 Blush

I feel gross. Is it really horrible?

Run some toothpaste round your teeth with your finger. That should freshen your breath a bit and then give them a proper scrub this eve. It’ll be fine.

ShockedHorrored · 14/11/2018 12:23

*rub toothpaste 🤦🏻‍♀️

ShatnersBassoon · 14/11/2018 12:23

Presuming you brushed your teeth last night, they're not going to be noticeably unclean. Get some chewing gum.

AtrociousCircumstance · 14/11/2018 12:23

Yes, it’s disgusting. They’ll probably fire you. The plaque on your teeth will crawl out and form letters on the meeting table which spell VILE.

Don’t be so daft Grin You’re fine. Just rub a bit of toothpaste on your teeth, swill and gargle.

chemenger · 14/11/2018 12:26

Lots of people brush their teeth in the loo where I work, often after lunch. I don’t find it particularly pleasant to be washing my hands next to someone spitting in the sink but it isn’t disgusting. Lots here probably means a handful, but it’s not unusual by any means. It might be a cultural thing, most people in our department are not British.

TheRattleBag · 14/11/2018 12:27

Or nip out in your lunch hour and buy another toothbrush? (assuming you get a break and are near shops!)

Howbadistthis · 14/11/2018 12:28

I do have my own toilet and sink so that’s okay but I can’t actually leave the building to buy a toothbrush!

Do you have an open fire as soot will do?

tissuesosoft · 14/11/2018 12:38

Toothpaste and abit of water, swill and gargle like mouth wash

chemenger · 14/11/2018 13:36

I misread the OP, sorry, gonwith rubbing the toothpaste on with your finger.

Is the OP Bob Cratchit?

BelindaBellender · 14/11/2018 19:03

New dishcloth from a kitchen? Blob some toothpaste on and give teeth a good scrub. Then paper clip bent out of shape to make a toothpick.

“Do you have an open fire as soot will do?”

Even by the most unlikely chance OP is working in some historical building and spends her day poking a fire.. how do you suggest she smears the soot around her teeth.. surely the toothpaste she has will a) taste nicer and b) not make her look like a chimney sweep with rotten teeth. Grin

Half a pint of creme de menthe. Sorted.
