Small downstairs toilet - what type of radiator would you recommend?

Having this small room re-done, only tiny so room for toilet and small sink - the radiator is broken so needs replacing. Wondering whether to go for just a small radiotor or towel rail style - any recommendations?

It could do with being something that kicks heat out as it's outside of the lounge next to the front door and it's freezing in there

We got a towel rail style one recently. Means you can hang a hand towel on it

That's what I was thinking but wasnt sure if it gave out lots of heat?

This is ours although we have changed the sink now as this one was too small

Dont know as we don't spend much time in there. Ours is between the kitchen and converted garage so not that cold

Small radiator. I have one and it works fine. I can even hang a (small) rail on it to dry things.

I had this, and a similar cold issue in the area.
I got a narrow but tall towel radiator - the tallest that would fit, it was about 7 foot high.
It was great, I left the door open so the heat pumped out into the cold area outside. And it was fab to dry clothes on.
Tall ones only forty or fifty quid more than half height ones; i would go for the tall one.

Heated floor? I've no idea how ££ that might be though

bobstersmum · 12/11/2018 11:10

We had our understairs turned into the tiniest little toilet, it has a combi unit where the sink is above the cistern part, it's that small there was no room for a sink otherwise! So we didn't bother with a radiator, and it's fine, it's in the hallway which is quite warm anyway.

TillyVonMilly · 12/11/2018 11:55

Powder coated heated towel rails are warmer than chrome. Under floor heating is good, ours can be set for either floor or air temperature.

TheCbeebiesYellowBlobs · 12/11/2018 11:57

Towel rail but half height as it's such a small room. Don't get the tiniest sink available unless you love mopping floors.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 12/11/2018 11:59

I agree with a heated towel rail upstairs and ours does get very warm. You can alter the temperature. We have underfloor heating in the cloakroom and I’d recommend that too.

Titsywoo · 12/11/2018 12:11

If you can get a Milano Aruba radiator in the right size they kick out a load of heat.

PickAChew · 12/11/2018 12:15

Small radiator with an unheated towel rail above. We have a towel rail in our gable end bathroom and it's bloody freezing in there, in winter.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 12/11/2018 14:08

Our heated towel rail would be great if it wasn't permanently covered in a hand towel and damp flannels Grin

Furrycushion · 12/11/2018 14:22

We went for towel rail but as space limited couldn't get a very big one so have underfloor heating too. Upstairs we have a large towel rail one & no other heating & it's very warm.
