Anyone get to go on any 90s kids shows?

Was reminiscing with dsis about our favourite kid shows in the nineties and how we desperately wanted to go on 'funhouse' or 'get your own back' 😂 and I realised that all those kids who got to live the dream will be grown ups around our age now! So was anyone here lucky enough to go on that type of game show In their childhood? And if yes, what was it like? Was it as fun as it looked? What was the host like? And did you win anything good lol

My sister went on funhouse. We were on holiday when it was shown on tv so didntbeven get to watch it, but she was a celebrity in school for months after.

I was interviewed for newsround but it just doesn’t compare.

My secondary school drama club were involved in the “problem page” segment for a Scottish school holiday programme called MegaMag. I had about 4 lines!

Our school went on a team/game show with the Chuckle brothers. Can't remember what it was called probably to me, to you I remember it being really REALLY bored.

Mesmeri · 13/11/2018 19:58

Ooh AragonsGirl snap! Was your piece about having an embarrassing mother? If so, I think I was in it too, but can't remember if I had any lines...

My school was also on 50/50 and we were a northern Ireland school.. Although we did travel to England or Scotland? To compete

I was on Terror Towers.. in the green slime assembling a skeleton. No one seems to remember that show though!

Bluelonerose · 13/11/2018 20:27

I always wanted to go on the crystal maze.
I was also very jealous when Timmy mallet used to hit people with his hammer and if I remember correctly didn't he put plasters on their chins?

Mamabearx4 · 13/11/2018 20:29

I was on wacaday ...Blush

Mamabearx4 · 13/11/2018 20:32

Yes mine was on my chin, but by the time i was there he wasnt allowed to hit the kids, so we had the "thingymajing" machine. That never correctly kept score

WonkyDonk87 · 13/11/2018 21:01

FIL was on How2. He powered the presenters across the studio on a skateboard with some form of engine.

BabloHoney · 13/11/2018 21:05

I really wanted to go on Knightmare. Still do.

OneWildNightWithJBJ · 13/11/2018 21:13

I went on Live & Kicking aged 17 too Gibble1! Think you were meant to be 16 or under...

Would have loved to go on Fun House or Knightmare!

AragonsGirl · 13/11/2018 22:05

No, if I remember correctly ours was about mums new boyfriend. There was another group from our school who were involved too...am now wondering if I went to school with you!

Mmmmdanone · 14/11/2018 07:07

Not 90's but I was on Rolf on Saturday OK in the 80's.

AamdC · 14/11/2018 07:27

No , but my mum used to work for the BBC which sounds impressive but what she actially did was stop people in the street and sometimes had to go round housing estates and ask people what they enjoyed watching on BBC . I also had a school friend who went on Blockbusters and won £15[Grin

Oh BabloHoney I would have loved to go on Knightmare too! It was my absolute favourite... I bet it would look so lame to kids now, but sooo exciting at the time...

AragonsGirl me too! And yeah, I remember there being 2 groups too, but can't remember what the other group did. School was on the east coast, in that town that's famous for golf. But I guess there must have been a few schools involved.
