Can I still shower during thunder and lighting?
Have read you shouldn't

Technically I don't think you should as there is a very small risk. Personally I have done it though when I lived in the tropics - 3 plus hours of storms was long enough to wait!

MummyDummyNow · 10/11/2018 18:49

Is this joke?

birdsofafeather · 10/11/2018 18:49

No joke

Okaay.....but why can’t you shower, presumably inside, in your bathroom? Very very confused...

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/11/2018 20:08

There are lots of questions asked on here that googled could answer, so That a just a silly statement.
Its like like a school yard clique on here at times.

MummyDummyNow · 10/11/2018 20:30

I'm not being cliquey or meaning to be rude, just genuinely wondering why someone can't shower if there's thunder or lightning. Feel like I'm totally missing something?!? Confused

SneakyGremlins · 10/11/2018 20:30

You'll be fine, OP.

birdsofafeather · 10/11/2018 20:38

That's why I asked

Thunder
OP posts:
birdsofafeather · 10/11/2018 20:39

Because being struk terrifies me

just genuinely wondering why someone can't shower if there's thunder or lightning

because of the slim chance lightening hits, the voltage of the lightning would run through the water and fry you.

it not something I've ever thought about TBH as I've never wanted a shower whilst there was a thunder storm.

A for doors down (semi's) was hit by lightening when I was a teen, the power of the strike blew all the TVs in our house and the tape from the answering machine was blown across the living room.

in the house that was hit, the wires in the walls blew plaster and tiles off the walls.

nameforthethread · 10/11/2018 20:41

A *house 4 doors down

WorraLiberty · 10/11/2018 21:31

Not if you want instant answers it isn't.

That was my point. Not that the OP shouldn't discuss thunder/lightening/showering etc.

MummyDummyNow · 11/11/2018 09:45

Thanks for explaining @nameforthethread Seems highly unlikely doesn't it?

birdsofafeather · 11/11/2018 09:49

Right not thanks to me for also answering your question
Just leave my thread

Yeah, piss off everyone!

HolyMountain · 11/11/2018 10:04

You cannot tell and then expect posters to leave the thread Grin, that’s just ridiculous.

Hopefully the bad weather has passed now.

starzig · 11/11/2018 10:19

I have swam outside in a thunderstorm and live to tell the tale so I think a shower in the house would be fine.

MummyDummyNow · 11/11/2018 10:31

Wow, this is literally the strangest thread I have ever seem. OP, I apologise for not thanking you as well, didn't mean to offend. But really, ordering me off your thread is even more ridiculous than the original question.

birdsofafeather · 11/11/2018 10:32

The original question is not ridiculous
