What's your guilty car music secret?

I've just stumbled across the best CD ever in the bargains bin at the shop. 100 Nineties Hits. On CD 2 it has: Baby Hit Me One More Time, Backstreets Back, Tragedy, Macarena, Mambo no. 5 and Cest Le Vie.

It's. Amazing.

What's hidden in the depths of your car music (Spotify/Amazon Music/iPod/Phone) that you love but would never admit to or play in public?

@LadyMonicaBaddingham - I'm the same - DS and I belt out Bonkers and Holiday..."get your passport, and your bikini..."

(I'm also Welsh and late forties...could it be a thing?)

Without DS it's my Spotify list titled "Sing like a mad bitch" 😂😂😂:
Total Eclipse of the Heart - Our Bonnie
Seven Wonders - Stevie Nicks
Tainted Love - Soft Cell
Show me Love - Robin S
Hit me baby - Britney
Like a Prayer - Madonna
Ballroom Blitz - Sweet
You are Everything - Marvin Gaye & Diana Ross

One day I played "Goodbye Horses" by Q Lazarus in a traffic jam over and over. I was doing a voice over impression of Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs in parts and bawling the rest.

I turned and noticed three open mouthed men in a van next to me.

I must've looked like a total oddball. 😂😂😂

Lots of old stuff on my car CDs. Glen Campbell, Staple Singers, Robert Palmer, Chicken Shack, Neil Diamond, Judy Collins, Labi Siffre and so on. Not one duff song.

Oh I also have a Dire Straits CD in the car. The opening bit of "Money for Nothing"....

The opening bit of "Money for Nothing"

I love that one when I'm sitting at traffic lights in the high street on a hot day with the volume up and all the windows down Grin

Another good one for that is the theme tune from Raiders of the Lost Ark I listen to Classic FM quite a lot

BooLloyd · 08/11/2018 20:33

The only thing I don't listen to with anybody but my family within earshot is the Imagination Movers. I love so many of their songs but the lyrics are a bit embarrassing to sing along to in public.

BlessThisMess · 08/11/2018 20:39

@CrispbuttyNo1 We share the same musical taste, though John Denver should be at the top

Threeminis · 10/11/2018 00:21

Not really a guilty pleasure but I used to be the manager of a nursery.

I had a little competition (with myself) to listen to the most inappropriate music I could think of, as loud as possible, bearing in mind my dh installed a sub in the boot of my car.

My favourites were Eminem, Dr Dre, Rocky Horror soundtrack. I remember sitting at my desk in the office one day singing to myself - it wasn't till a colleague came in and asked what I was singing.. Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch me. Imagine if I'd been on the floor with the kids!
