Amazing colouring pencils?

Dd1 (9) has asked for this for Xmas. She is very arty and I don't mind spending a bit more as they will be very well used. Any ideas of brands please?

Go for quality brands such as Faber Castel or Derwent, Caran D'ache etc. Go online to Jacksons art supplies or Great Art, somewhere like that. Good quality high pigment pencils are more expensive than cheap low pigment pencils so avoid.

I do a lot of adult colouring & the best pencils I have found are WH Smith own brand ones, they have lots of pigment & sharpen really nicely without breaking, I usually buy the box of 36, they aren't expensive either.

Faber Castell polychromos. As pp said - high pigment all the way. Fred Aldos if you are in Manteater or Leeds.

Yy Faber and Castell will last for years. My DS uses some that I had in 6th form and they are still going strong. Fantastic quality, as are Derwent.

Also you could have a look at Legami OP? They're an Italian brand and they do lots of stationery - and their colouring pencils are things of beauty!! I'm not sure if they sell pencil sets but a couple of single pencils could be a nice stocking filler.

I haven't used WHSmith pencils but their brush tipped pens are excellent quality so their pencils could well be too.

These are the Legami pencils OP. This is a double lead one but they have loads of different types (eg with rulers on the side etc). So they're a bit of a novelty but also really good quality for colouring.
