Ran up the road with just socks on my feet and stumbled on a breeze block holding up some scaffolding!

I can bend the toe next to my little one but it’s tender to touch.
happened over an hour ago and the pain in the ball of my foot is awful and shoots back down to my toes.

I can bend my toes so it’s not broken, is it?

I’ve put a bag of frozen mangoe pieces on my foot, hope I can walk on it in the morning (wishful thinking!)

I really want to know why you were out in your socks Grin
I have no real advice other than to say just coz you can move it doesn’t mean you’ve not broken something, it’s an old wives tale.
Take painkillers and go to walk in tomorrow if not better.

being able to move doesn't mean it's not broken.
congrats, you can tell that story 5x or so at a&e Grin

Oh shit, I was hoping the toe wriggle myth was true. It’s blooming sore and I have work tomorrow.

Although I have a heroic tale behind legging it up the road in my PJs and socks. We saw our neighbours puppy escape, ran down the road and scooped the little thing up. I didn’t get as far as the scooping bit due to the breeze block but the effort was 100% there.

So, apart from the ice, pain relief and wine. Is there anything else I can do?

don't take ibuprofen for now. if it is broken, that slows down healing,
keep it elevated.
ice pack.
rest.
but tbh I would try to get an x-ray tonight

Oh really? Dr Google has said to lightly strap it, elevate it and ice it.

It’s just throbbing now, as long as I don’t move or try to stand up it just throbs at the toes.
