I'm childfree by choice (for the foreseeable future) this was never an issue until I hit my 30s and oddly enough got divorced which seemed to create all manner of worry and concern about the state of my womb.
I'm in a place where I could theoretically have children if I were so inclined but at the moment I quite like my sleep, freedom and money (that was half joking before anyone jumps on me about their time spent travelling in 1st class with their 3 toddlers and 10 hours of sleep each night).
But whilst I am concerned about climate change and try to do my bit on a personal and professional level. In all my thinking about having/not having children it never occurred to me that climate change - and it's foretold doom - would factor in my decision making. I think forgoing children would be one sacrifice too far if I really wanted to avert climate change.
Does anyone else think this? I am not saying I think I have a 'right' to have a child but I am saying even if I chose to have one or not - climate change would never enter my reasoning in-spite of my concern about global change.
