Saying thank you

I fell seriously ill at the start of the week and have been in hospital ever since & now on the mend and likely to be discharged tomorrow. A number of people have been truely wonderful including the staff in hospital and at DD's nursery and they deserve to be thanked.

Would a big tub of chocolates and a thoughtful thank you card be sufficient? I was thinking of emailing head office to praise DD's key worker and room staff, is there something similar I can do for the nursing staff in particular? Or anything else that would be well received instead of/in addition to the chocs and card?

dd was in hospital for a couple of weeks last month and there were signs in some of the public areas asking people to email with details of any members of staff who had stood out for the way they had cared for patients. There were posters around with pictures of some nurses and other workers thanking them for the work they did on particular wards. I guess most hospitals have similar schemes.

There were often tubs of chocolates open at the nurses' station and they always seemed popular.

Ooh that's good, I'll keep an eye out. I've pretty much been stuck in bed so will have a little wander later if I can, thank you.
