Best waterproof warm kids coat

Last couple of years we have had assorted coats from joules / Boden .

Been pretty happy with them - the only thing I would have improved was they weren’t waterproof enough to cope with the snow really. And for DD both had fur on hood that couldn’t be removed .

Now both my DC need a new one so am looking for thoughts on best coats . They are for primary aged DC and we live rurally so warmth is essential.

I am looking at these - which I think I have seen recommended on here -

( I like the fact they are unisex so I can definitely pass from DD to DS assuming the quality is as good as everyone says )

But obviously something like this is quite a bit cheaper -

( but wouldn’t pass from older DD to DS!)

Any advice ?
Open to other suggestions too as it’s a lot of money !

Dh just bought Ds4 a Dare2b Black ski coat from eBay and it was £12.

We've also had a tog 24 three in one for my DSs and it lasted well over 12 months and he wore it every weekend and it took some real battering in all weathers, the best coat we've every bought we even charity shopped it when he'd outgrown.

Polarn o pyret and Dridiksons. I wont put my boys in anything else. Dc4 is now wearing dc1's coat, they are not cheap but they last.

I have found m&s coats good for UK. We now need coats for snow and really cold weather and have landsend ones work well as do Costco ski jackets.

Tweebee that's not good! I normally buy online but we have a shop near us now so will buy in person instead.

Agree about Didrikson. I bought a classic looking parka from John lewis for DS1 2 years ago. It cost about 80€ but it's been amazing. He wore it for everything (including a lot of ski-ing) for 2 winters and it went on fitting fine because the sleeves let down. DS2 will inherit it this year and I'm pretty confident it'll do for their 2 younger brothers after him.
