My feet are cold. Can you recommend some hot water bottles?

I'm finally going to take the plunge into hot water bottles. Can you recommend a few on Amazon UK? It's a huge abyss and I have no idea what I'm doing. I'd probably be using the bottle for:

  • foot warming
  • period/cramp relief
  • shoulder pain or neck relief
  • general cuddles

What am supposed to be looking for here in terms of leak proof, size, etc?? And apparently there are some cool looking covers too. Show me your covers! Please and thank you.

This thread is fairly old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for quality hot water bottles, we’ve recently updated our best hot water bottle page with lots of great options, as rated by Mumsnet users. We also have a kids’ hot water bottle guide too for something more suitable for little ones. We hope you find them useful. Flowers

@Plump82 say WHAT??? Is that a thing? How do I check my (antique) tissrrand hot wheat wrap thingy for this nasty ness?

By tiny, I meant the little ones sold in Poundland and the like. They are the size of an iPad mini or similar. You probably won’t encounter them where you are.

Thermal socks are the way to go for warm feet, particularly if you’re abroad and dealing with stone or marble floors. A hot water bottle will give you quick comfort but thermal socks - nice thick ones - will help you build warmth and keep it in.
