A weekend with the kid...

DH is working this weekend. I have 2 Taekwando sessions for the boy (today and tomorrow) and time at the grandparents.

It's 7.30. We've only been up an hour and he's already driving me crackers...!

Help!

Is he your son? How old?

Kintan · 03/11/2018 07:39

Have you not spent time alone together before? Is this your stepson? How old?

SnuggyBuggy · 03/11/2018 07:40

How are you related to the child?

Mondaytired · 03/11/2018 07:42

I hear you Op! DH is working most of the weekend...playing golf this am... we’ve got a party at lunch..... the small one wants to go to the park already...it’s not even 8am 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

It's my 4 year old chatterbox son.

"Can I have that
"Where's the fireworks"
"Can we buy X"
"I want Y"

Bloody stupid toy adverts between programmes.

I am short of patience today due to a shit nights sleep. Plus ToTM (I'm on the depo so haven't bled for yonks)

I’m taking mine to the cinema today, then fireworks this evening. Is there any bonfire stuff going on where you are?

Kintan · 03/11/2018 07:46

Sounds like the perfect time to stick a film on for him, and go and have a nice hot bath!

MustDust · 03/11/2018 07:47

Get a friend round or go to a soft play and take earphones and a book. Pick somewhere for a long walk. Go to the cinema, it may not be quiet but at least you're not listening to wittering. My youngest is a constant chatterbox, I do love him but goodness he goes on. Good luck!

Not* Yes there's a few things. He saw the fireworks (aka the parachutes) through our window last night. We live 4 floors up so get a great view.

I know for a fact he'd freak out at a firework display so at home, behind glass with minimal sound is best.

Thank fuck for Peppa Pig.

I hate period pains... >_

And yes... He's like the duracell bunny. Anyone know where I can find his batteries?! Grin

You made a post about spending the weekend with your child?!

Pissedoffdotcom · 03/11/2018 07:58

If you discover that share the secret. DD is 6 & still goes on like she's on speed! I love her to bits the desire to make every conversation last forever is draining sometimes!

NerrSnerr · 03/11/2018 08:02

Two taekwando sessions and seeing grandparents sounds like more than enough for a 4 year old's weekend. My 4 year old is doing a tot's tennis session this morning followed by a swim and then we have a party tomorrow. The rest of the time she can watch telly, play etc. We might go to the park.

You could have a walk around early evening to see if there are any stray fireworks being let off anywhere?

cjt110 · 03/11/2018 08:12

He just seems so... wound up. Currently eating a yoghurt watching B&H... peace!

At least it's dry out there today. Bit of gardening at the GPs
