Wilko Spray Bicarb, Spray Vinegar and Spray Bathroom Cleaner (see minerals). They now clean everything in my house that needs wet cleaning.

The Method rhubarb spray made me gag!

We bought a Breville sandwich toaster (vst041). Current favourite game is Will It Toastie? Most of our meals lately have been variations on Toastie. And the plates go in the dishwasher.

Meet0nTheIedge · 04/11/2018 16:43

I agree about the Method Rhubarb spray and gagging - I love the lavender and orange ones but am forcing myself to use up the rhubarb one and will never buy it again.

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/11/2018 16:44

Lebkuchen stars. I seriously need to stop eating them.

DeadCertain · 04/11/2018 17:00

Lots of the Aldi beauty products are great but the BB cream is particularly good for the money.

GreenFieldsofFrance · 04/11/2018 18:15

After years of being addicted to gap jeans that were no longer doing me any favours I've found a perfect pair. Levis 712 slim fit. Nice high waist, fitted enough to feel a bit smart but not so tight that I look like a sausage in them. I love them and now have them in 3 colours.

Tiggy321 · 04/11/2018 18:25

Instant Pot- love it! Use mine every day. Best kitchen gadget ever. Am hoping my electricity bill drops as a result of its efficiency but probably not!

QueenofLouisiana · 04/11/2018 19:15

Lidl thermal tights. £5 for 2 pairs, lovely and toasty. They are footless so socks are needed for boots, but that’s even warmer.

Cocolepew · 04/11/2018 19:21

A faux fur leopard print coat from ebay.
It was a cheapy one so I wasn't expecting much but I love it.
It's similar to the one in Next but about £50 cheaper.
The pockets are on back to front though Grin

SugarandVinegar · 04/11/2018 19:24

A new mattress from ebay that I didn't have high hopes for due to the very low price but everyone seems to love it

I don't like to ask... Grin

thebear1 · 04/11/2018 19:28

Morrison's jeans, lovely fit with a bit of stretch.

GnomeDePlume · 04/11/2018 19:42

My latest purchase is a cake shovel and wire cake cutter. £9 and my baking life is transformed. Managed to cut open a cake, fill it and recover it with almost no swearing!

25p pack of generic cherry plum tomato seeds. No idea how they got them so cheap - probably somebody left their cheese and tomato sandwich out and the staff just packed the seeds. The resulting tomatoes out performed the named varieties both for quantity and quality.

fuckitbuckit · 04/11/2018 19:55

A huge maiden from Argos which fits and ENTIRE wash load on it.

Unstoppables wax melts. They are the only ones worth buying - last around 4 times before the scent goes and they literally fill the whole house with a really strong scent.

BlingLoving · 04/11/2018 20:05

@purplehammer is the pressure cooker easy to use? My mum had one but god, it was terrifying. Are modern ones less scary and dangerous?

RebelWitchFace · 04/11/2018 20:12

@SugarandVinegar not everyone everyone. Jusy fussy and bad back OH,the child , me (well i think it's fine) and the cat.

lilyboleyn · 04/11/2018 20:34

FesteringCarbuncle · 04/11/2018 20:47

Instant pot
Blender with mashed potato attachment- life changing
Shark cordless duo clean. The best vacuum I've ever had and I've had Henry, Dyson, Bosch, sebo

MetallicDandelion · 04/11/2018 20:49

@grandadwasthatyou - another thank you! And another soupmaker... what a discount!

catinboots9 · 04/11/2018 20:58

This is a great thread. Thanks OP

CigarsofthePharoahs · 04/11/2018 22:03

Oh the Instant pot. Yes.
A cheap pair of shoes from Amazon. Bought them to tide me over, but they're so comfy and are wearing very well!
An upside down umbrella I bought this weekend. It's designed so you can have both hands free when using it too. Wish I'd had it when I was still using a buggy.
A gorgeous woven wrap. I'm a sweaty betty and boil even in winter. If I wear a normal winter coat, I'm soggy in about five minutes. If I don't wear a coat, people tell me off.
This wrap is just warm enough to take the edge off, but a loose enough weave it still lets the air through so I don't boil. However, it looks warm so I don't get the "Ooo put a coat on love, you're making me feel cold." comments any more.

A slight side step here - my bristlenose catfish.
We've always had algae issues with our fish tank. Always been a struggle to keep It clean and whilst my children were very small we stopped replacing the fish and left the tank empty for ages and it became an algae encrusted mess.
Now both children are full time at school, I gave the tank a clean and put some fish in, namely a bristlenose catfish. My goodness.
I didn't do the best job with the cleaning, I missed some bits on the glass and I didn't clean the rocks or bogwood. It turns out I didn't need to as my little catfish has nibbled all the algae off everything! I regularly see him coming out and chewing the glass.
Lovely little fishy.

Forgotmycoat · 04/11/2018 22:14

Thanks @rebel. I just had a look. It seems incredibly good value for money!! About half the price of other vacuums I've been considering. Only problem is that it's an upright, which I have never had. And I'm under 5 ft so I've visions of me wrestling with the thing...

PhilomenaButterfly · 05/11/2018 12:14

Cigars what's an upside down umbrella? Confused

PhilomenaButterfly · 05/11/2018 12:19

DD needs something like that wrap, my relatives force her to wear a coat when she goes to stay, but she really doesn't need one.

TheDogsMother · 05/11/2018 15:15

Another one with a tiny Bluetooth speaker. Anker SoundCore from Amazon. I have Prime Music, Bose and BBC Radio iPlayer apps on my phone so could have music all the time on holiday. Best £20 I've spent in a long time.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 05/11/2018 18:11

@PhilomenaButterfly
This beauty!
