Where do young men buy clothes?

I usually buy DS(26) a couple of pieces of decent everyday clothing at Christmas. He's saving to buy a house and not spending much on himself. But I'm not sure where to buy this year.
Last two Christmases I got a t-shirt and /or hoodie from Superdry. They seemed really good quality and he likes them. But I read on here (and heard elsewhere) that Superdry are now a bit naff.
Where else would be good? Nice quality but with a bit of trendiness.
Thanks Smile

My son is 21. He shops at New look, Top man or River Island, or online.

Thanks noeffing , all of those are in my town, so I'll have a look.

My partner and brothers (all in their 30s) shop in Burton's, Next and River Island mostly.

AllStevesPals · 01/11/2018 13:48

Zara/ River Island/ H&M

My DP (25) likes Fred Perry polo shirts and Tshirts, he loves the hoodies from Carhartt as well although I think you might only be able to find these online.
Asos is a good online shop to look through as they stock lots of different brands.

Many thanks for your suggestions, everyone. Smile

Ds 22&25 use ASOS...lots of branded goods and own brand ,they have paid for quick delivery for a yearly fee and it comes next day ....lots and lots on there

Doidontimmm · 01/11/2018 17:07

My son buys everything from ASOS.

TheSageofOnions · 01/11/2018 17:19

Stall in the local market (no interest in clothes at all).

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 01/11/2018 18:21

TK Maxx too.

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 01/11/2018 18:27

TheSage that sounds like my DH. Our son is a little more careful though!

DGRosetti I love Joe Browns and have lots of it myself. It's great how young men and chubby middle-aged women (who, me?) can find things they like there.
Alas, it's not really DS... he's a straightforward jeans, t-shirt and hoodie man. I used to buy him all the surfy, skatery brands when he was younger and longer haired. I think I'd walk past him on the street if he wore a patterned shirt because I wouldn't recognise him!

DH (30) loves Superdry. He’s also a very basic t-shirt, jeans and hoody type of person. He isn’t very cool though Blush.

PoptartPoptart · 01/11/2018 19:00

Superdry is still very much in fashion where I am (London area)

notacooldad · 01/11/2018 19:03

My lads, who are 19 and 22, shop at Stone Island for fashion stuff andH&M and Next for basics

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 01/11/2018 19:04

AveAt and Poptart that's interesting. So I may be alright with Superdrug after all?
It's so difficult buying for others!

Oh I forgot about ASOS. We seem to have a delivery daily from them!

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 01/11/2018 19:04

Er, make that Superdry, not Superdrug!

Looks like ASOS are worth a look... Lots of mentions here.

Thanks, all.

So I may be alright with Superdrug after all? God, no, don't go there!!! Grin

TimetohittheroadJack · 01/11/2018 19:43

It depends on your budget. My DS(25) likes Burberry, Gucci or Prada, but they are really expensive (about £500 for a hoodie). For £100 you could get Ralph Lauren, Boss, Lacoste or Yx3. Or if the budget is £25 ish then a plain hoodie for H&M the like

mysteryfairy · 01/11/2018 20:47

I have one DS who is not interested in clothes and just wears whatever I buy. Last Christmas I asked him what his favourite clothes shop was preparatory to a trip like yours and he said whatever that one you get me stuff from is...I also have 16 year old DD so place in question is Urban Outfitters as that’s where she normally drags me. To be fair they do have a reasonable range of men’s brands.

Other DS is deeply into clothes and buys from all over...stone island is big with him too. He shops in flannels, Selfridges, will buy Kors t shirts when uniqlo does a collection, likes Acne and other Scandi brands. For sportswear he favours Size - I think this is owned by jd sports but branded very differently!
