Has anyone got a waterpik water flosser?

I got one today, and the first impressions are good.

It feels like I have had a proper scale and polish - it does take a while, a good ten minutes to go all round my mouth, but so far so good.

But boy, it’s messy!

We had one. I really liked it but it died really quickly I a couldn’t be bothered getting another.

I hope yours has a longer life!

I’ve got a Philips sonicare water flosser , it’s excellent . I don’t find it messy at all .

I’m hoping my technique improves re the mess - according to online reviews on Amazon it does get better!

I have one, actually I have 2...a waterpik and a non brand one from Amazon. I love them both.

Re technique, it's simply practice. You'll get used to it very quickly.

I saw these yesterday and was thinking about getting one but then wondered why. Is it any easier than normal flossing?

Had a waterpik but it broke within a couple of months. Then bought a Philips version which has been on the go for a couple years and is great

I have had 2 of the rechargeable ones and returned them both. Despite following the instructions to the letter , both of them stopped charging properly after about 3 months and it was 24 hour charge and get 2 minutes use out of it. I did feel like my teeth were plaque free, but it wasn't messy and am a bit surprised about the 10 minutes.
The website is good for improving technique
I would like to get another flosser but it won't be a Waterpik. If anyone has a recommendation- I would appreciate it!

Ten minutes was probably because I was obsessed with trying all the different heads!

The name gives me a weird shiver in my nerves. It's the "pik" part.

I had the waterpik and then also the Sony one more recently. Both good and they feel like they work but I've been told a few times by dental hygienists that they are not good enough to replace "proper" flossing. My last conversation about this was about a month ago and the hygienist conceded that maybe if you water-flossed every day then you could get by with flossing once a week.

The sum total of these conversations is that I stopped using the water flosser but never get round to proper flossing Confused

I am considering getting one of these in the November price drop. I have a permanent retainer (to stop my once crooked teeth moving back) and struggle to clean around it well.

You can clean your teeth, and you can clean your house! That was what I did this morning. I do love my WaterPik though usually, but I don't have a plug in my bathroom so I have to use it next to my bed, and this morning I forgot to pick up the books off of the floor and the glitter glue and other things and they got soaked 😂😂
