To get a couple of minutes peace from 15 month old DD's nosing and demanding my food. Have I hit a new low? Blush

Please tell me you've done worse.

We used to play dominoes lottery. I'd order takeaway while DH put the baby to bed.

It was the risk of
a. DS still being awake when it arrived and DH feel tortured knowing it's waiting,
b. the delivery guy will ring the doorbell despite instructions not to
c. the smell of pizza might wake the baby.

I always won as I ordered it so got first dibs. Grin

I remember once picking DD up from school, she'd just started nursery class so finished an incredibly early lunch, I hadn't had lunch, unsurprisingly when I left the house at 11.45, I'd bought a baguette to have on the bus on the way to Asda, she just couldn't take her eyes off this baguette. She'd just had a cooked lunch! Halloween Angry

@russell

Yes!!!! I’m a LP so it’s extra dangerous - if they deliver at the moment of drifting off ... but the local Deliveroo guy knows my methods and now he does a really gentle tap on the door so he doesn’t wake the baby- and if no answer, leaves the food on the hook by the door Grin

Grin I don't know where they put it! You are fortunate she has manners though, my DD hasn't yet got to that stage. I remember waiting in a hospital with her at 9 months feeling quite hungry having missed lunch whilst waiting so I got a sandwich from the shop. I thought I'd eat it whilst she sat next to me not feeling too well and she ripped half of the sandwich from my hands and ate it before going for part of the other half too. The woman behind the counter looked astonished.
