Book recomendations for nearly 9 year old

Hi can anyone recommend some books for my nearly 9 year old please?? She has just finished the harry potter series which she loved but I think the last book was a bit complex for her. She is currently reading how to train your dragon series which again she is loving but she is flying through very quickly so maybe something a bit more complex. She enjoys the horrible history books and David Williams but she insists I read them to her at bed time! We have some Jacqueline Wilson books too which she enjoys. Any suggestions very appreciated. Hopefully nothing sweary if poss as harry potter had some bad language which I didn't realise!

Just come back for the library with a hoard! She picked up the sky song first and has been enthralled, didn't think I would get her out of it to get home! So thanks for that suggestion, will check out the others from that collection. We have asked for a copy of the explorer one to be delivered so waiting in that but she seemed keen when I read her the blurb, same with the ones from the how to train your dragon author! Any more suggestion more than welcome, so great to see her enjoying new books!

Definitely Narnia if she hasn't read them yet. And Roald Dahl but she probably already has? For reading together my daughter liked A little princess and the railway children at that age. For easier reading maybe the tree house series (13th storey tree house etc)
