DD bought our boy a bottle of the beer. He took one sniff, looked at me like I'd just confiscated his favourite ball and walked off.
He'l like me, prefers a cuppa.

At my work we sell pawsecco for cats and dogs. Beer for dogs. Advent calendars- the lot. And it sells very very well.

Whats in the pawsecco im assuming its just flavoured water? Some .people are just a bit daft when it comes to pets Smile

JuliaJaynes9 · 29/10/2018 11:40

The pet industry has been very successful in persuading pet owners to see the animals as human family members, if you see your dog is having equal status to a human then you are inclined to spend as much money on it as you would a human
very lucrative for the pet industry

SistersOfHearsey · 29/10/2018 11:54

DDog always has an advent calendar, and he is a family member. If that makes me daft so be it Grin

Jackshouse · 29/10/2018 11:56

It was an upsell product on the apprentice last year and did really well.

GemmeFatale · 29/10/2018 12:07

Until recently our dogs did secret Santa paws with their dog group. Why not? Making my dog happy makes me happy.

MrsJayy · 29/10/2018 12:23

I don't think being a bit daft is a bad thing ☺

needsanewname · 29/10/2018 12:37

Yes I've bought it one dog loved it, the other sniffed and walked away.

Villanellesproudmum · 29/10/2018 12:39

I bought it for my dogs first birthday! She didn’t like it. Our dog walker arranged a secret Santa with her clients Grin

ThatLibraryMiss · 29/10/2018 12:40

At £1.99 a bottle my dogs are never going to get the chance to find out whether they like it.

SoupDragon · 29/10/2018 12:41

I've seen this too and thought it utterly bonkers.

That said, I assume it does no harm and is usually just as a one off kind of thing.

My dog likes drinking the rankest water he can find on a walk. Perhaps I should bottle it.

LaurieFairyCake · 29/10/2018 12:49

We have the most fun watching Wogglicious open her presents on Christmas Day. I have to put a video on Facebook for the family to see. Gets more likes than all my (adored) nieces/nephews/own children

SistersOfHearsey · 29/10/2018 12:55

I've recently discovered rawhide cards for dogs. He will be getting a Christmas card as well this year!

Notjustanyone · 29/10/2018 12:59

I thought rawhide was dangerous for dogs.

Yecartmannew · 29/10/2018 13:02

I bought a bottle of pawsecco and a bottle of dog beer back in the summer. It is still in the fridge but when we have a family celebration where everybody gets "posh" drinks (even the kids get a J20 instead of water or their usual squash) i will open it for the pooches. Not because I think they need it, but because it will delight my grandchildren to give the dogs a special treat.

ErrolTheDragon · 29/10/2018 13:09

Mine also prefers natural water with a bit of body. He won't drink from some streams in the Lake District though - correlating well with former mining areas where there is doubtless heavy metal contamination.

And loves a nice cup of tea (or coffee if DH leaves one at a low level)

As to 'pawsecco' - 'Ingredients. An infusion of elderflowr, nettle, ginseng, limeflower, water, acidifier lactic acid, preservative: potassium sorbate'

Sounds nice, if its unsweetened elderflower etc I might be tempted to try it myself.

adaline · 29/10/2018 13:32

I've recently discovered rawhide cards for dogs.

Please don't give your dog rawhide. They can't digest it properly and can choke, or it can swell in their stomach and cause a blockage.

It shouldn't be on sale at all. Natural treats like smart bones or raw bones, dried meat like paddywhack etc. are a much healthier and safer alternative !

Katinkka · 29/10/2018 13:57

Don’t give your dogs rawhide! Omg.

SistersOfHearsey · 29/10/2018 14:17

It depends on the dog! Omg.

VerbeenaBeeks · 29/10/2018 15:34

Saw pawsecco in Aldi the other day too and was like OMG Grin
Utterly barking Grin
What's in it? I'm assuming your dog's not going to get pissed on it,fall over and wake up feeling ruff.

Arf

MrsJayy · 29/10/2018 15:51

I had a mocktail a few weeks ago at my friends she said it had elderflower and lime bet she crackec open the pawsecco Grin

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 29/10/2018 16:31

DDog generally lives in the lap of luxury, albeit with a practical overtone - I spent £30 on a harness not long ago. I completely draw the line at Pawsecco, however!

Empathy56 · 29/10/2018 16:51

We bought Pawsecco ice pops for our 2 dogs a few months back in the very hot weather. They hated them! They worked out at £1 each in a pack of 6 I think it was.Ended up binning them.Hmm
