Help! Think I've ruined worktop....

Oh bloody buggery bollocks, I think I've ruined our kitchen worktop, can anyone offer any solutions to rectify it?
Put all my oven stuff in to an Oven Pride bag to soak overnight, and some of it must have been on outside of bag. Left on black (quartz, I think) worktop and came down to find a fairly large area faded.
Have tried kitchen cleaner, fairy liquid and nothing is bringing it back. So cross with myself - any suggestions?

Oven pride is an abrasive chemical so it will have ‘stripped’ the work top, so no amount of cleaning will bring it back.

You won’t be the first person to have done this though so I am sure you’ll be able to buy some kind of paint or stain to recolour the worktop.

I had a similar problem with a granite fireplace...I tried all sorts of things, oddly the only thing that worked from the wired and wonderful range of internet suggestions was wax ( beeswax) you could try that..no harm done if it doesn't work ?
You can get them professionally refinished which is probably worth it in your case, but phone your insurers up, it was after all an accident. They usually have a "list of approved methods" to try, before they cough up for replacement.

There is a company called plastic surgeon fine finishers. They can fix stuff like this.
Google them. We used them on a job where an installer damaged an oak door and a worktop and they were amazing and wouldn't know there was a repair.
