What would you do if you could forget all your responsibilities and had twelve months to do whatever you like?

Am I limited to my current income or savings or can I assume unlimited funds?

If funds were unlimited, I found a nine month world cruise starting from £70,000!

A friend of mine has a plant nursery and loads of spare land. I'd spend a year there growing things.

SeaViewBliss · 26/10/2018 18:56

If I had the money I’d travel and write.

If not, I’d just write!

BonnieF · 26/10/2018 18:58

I did take a year out. I travelled around North America, Europe and Asia. I ended up with a fair amount of debt which took the next couple of years to pay off, but it was totally worth it.

Moana123 · 26/10/2018 19:01

Do a year working at Disney in Florida in the cultural exchange programme they offer. Wish I’d done it when I was younger!

TheClitterati · 26/10/2018 19:13

I'd go and live on a small island somewhere warm - Menorca or somewhere in Caribbean. I'd get fit, read loads, swim a lot, do pottery.

AugustRose · 26/10/2018 19:33

Travel, mainly around Scandinavia, learn to ski

exitlight · 26/10/2018 19:50

I would make a massive effort and totally focus on nothing else but to lose weight and feel happy and at peace with my own mind.

Kezzie200 · 26/10/2018 19:51

Travel.

Read books while travelling.

DowntonCrabby · 26/10/2018 19:55

We’re quite seriously planning a year out 2022/23 to see some of the world with the kids. Desperately hoping we can make it a reality rather than just a wistful dream.

Cel982 · 26/10/2018 19:59

Move somewhere gorgeous (and sunny) and write a novel.

Robots1Humans0 · 26/10/2018 20:22

Read my way through the library and take things at my own pace. Spa weekend every weekend.

Ioki · 26/10/2018 20:23

Write. Go to Walt Disney World and work there. Write. Spa.

3out · 26/10/2018 20:27

Take the kids out of school and travel (with DH too, presuming he’s allowed a year off too - otherwise I’ll have to rethink!)

I would go to Umbria. In fact I am planning on going to Umbria for a year in five years when DD goes to uni (presume she will go to uni) and I get a lump sum from a pension. Let’s see what bloody brexit brings first though!

NerdyBird · 26/10/2018 20:35

Sleep, read books, sort my house out, maybe a bit of travel. I had 6 months not working after I left the civil service, it was great.
