Baby bedding in holiday rental

We have a holiday apartment, which we are adding travel cots and bedding to, so guests don't have to lug their own.

Now I see many people use sleeping bags now rather than blankets. But having looked into them you really need different sizes according to age, so is awkward for various age groups and sized children that may be using it.

I was planning instead on just providing bottom sheets, muslin cloth, a cellular blanket, and a fleece blanket. Plus a small pillow for over 1s. Needs to ideally cover all ages 0-3 years.

Would you use that? And I guess just state what is available, giving people the option to bring their own correct size sleeping bag if they want?

I would always take my own baby sleeping bag, I'm not sure I'd want to use one I found in a rental, but I'd expect you to provide basic bedding.
I think you've got it covered (weak pun intended)

Whenever we have stayed in a holiday cottage or hotel with travel cot they have just provided a bottom sheet and we have brought our own sleeping bag, so your suggestion sounds good to me as long as you let people know what is provided.

Isn’t it normal to provide a bottom sheet and a baby blanket for a travel cot (every time we’ve stayed in a hotel this is what we’ve been given). Most people will bring their own sleeping bag for baby though- we definitely used to! So what you’ve listed sounds perfect.

Make sure you include a waterproof protector as well as a bottom sheet - in case of sickness/accidents, it will protect the mattress you buy.

What you’re suggesting is just what we do in our place that we let out in AirBnB, OP. Travel cot with a foam mattress, fitted and flat sheets and blankets, on the assumption that if people prefer a sleeping bag or similar then they will bring one (considerably less hassle than brining the whole cot!)

We don't use a sleeping bag as my dd won't abide having her feet covered and even though she has her 'blankie' an additional fleece would be a nice touch in the really cold months.
